The Delhi Plant is the first, large-scale processing facility in the world uniquely equipped to process high-quality, frozen sweet potato products. The plant achieved LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification—the first large-scale frozen food processing plant in the world to do so—for its sustainable and green building design and processes.
Delhi is "green" from the ground up
- The Delhi plant is one of the first food plants in the country built from the ground up with the newest and best processing and packaging technologies in the industry.
- The plant follows LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards for environmentally sustainable construction.
- The plant’s sustainable building design provides multiple environmental, economic, health, and community benefits, including water conservation and a substantial reduction in energy usage.
- The new plant celebrated its official grand opening in November 2010.
