That’s why Lamb Weston initiated its second annual food drive, coordinated by its Women’s Leadership Council, an internal organization dedicated to helping Lamb Weston employees reach their full potential through professional development programs, as well as to orchestrating community-minded efforts.  “Lamb Weston is about more than food,” said Lisa Bescherer, senior director of marketing.  “We are also about people. And knowing that thousands of our neighbors face the threat of hunger every day, of course we want to get involved.”

 

 

Community-minded efforts are an established part of Lamb Weston culture. Also during this past holiday season, Lamb Weston Research, Quality & Innovation (RQI) employees headquartered in Richland, WA, led the annual Adopt-a-Family drive in conjunction with the ConAgra Foods Latino Network.   Highlights included adopting 16 families—up from six last year—and providing each with $100 grocery gift cards, as well as providing a single mother of six with more than $1,000 in gifts and gift cards. “The generosity of our employees is a true reflection of character and commitment to the community,” said Chris Rhynalds, vice president of Lamb Weston RQI.
